Weightless is a collection of original lyrical prose, a conceptual and experimental literary work.
The author presents a collage of intimate texts: fragments of memory and imprints of the mind. The book is presented unbound: pages come without a given order, creating an element of surprise. It encourages play in literary solitaire: each reader sorts and literally composes the texts into their own whole.
Through personal and suggestive images, the author invites you to think about what a story really is. How do the stories we tell about ourselves and others come about? Who is the reader, who is the hero, who is the narrator? The shaky framework of the work points to the actor of the process, to the one who selects the key moments, interprets them and causally connects them, driven by the urge for coherence and meaning as the opposite of nonsense and chaos.
From this perspective, what is true, what is our individual or collective past? Weightless is a private mythology in practice. It points to the arbitrariness and dynamism of the way we create ourselves from the point where we are. It shows the possibilities and boundaries set by the language or narratives of our culture, family and loved ones.
